I am a PhD student at UT Austin in the Computational Science Engineering and Mathematics Program (Oden Institute). I am a member of the Willerson Center for Cardiovascular Modelling and Simulation currently working on computational and inverse modeling methods to quantify in vivo cardiovascular deformation and mechanics. I gradauted with Master’s in CSEM from UT Austin working on locking resistant Material point methods for finite strain solid mechanics with Dr. Berkin Dortdivanlioglu at CSML. I obtained my integrated dual degree (BTech+MTech) in Civil Engineering specialising in Structural engineering from IIT Kharagpur in May 2022. I have a minor degree in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kharagpur.
Prior to joining Oden I was working as a Data Scientist at Piramal Finance making credit underwriting models for new to credit customers. Apart from model building I was responsible for driving discussions with third party vendors for input features required by various underwriting models. I was also part of the credit risk monitoring team.
Outside of work I play football (soccer) and am a Manchester United fan. I enjoy going for runs, especially around Lake Austin, and I’m happy to call Austin home. Hook’em Horns!
